This amp is very rare. I have only seen it four times in almost 30 years.
2 EZ81 rectifier tubes guarantee sufficient reserves in the power supply.
The output transformers are of very fine quality and have unused (!) ultralinear taps. Though not using the UL taps of the output transformers, the LS-15 has an excellent frequency response.
The filter caps are not too big, but the amp is still very quiet. Unfortunately, the old "Neokon" coupling caps have to be replaced in all units.
As does the smaller LS-8, the LS-15 also provides the power supply jack for the VVS preamp. So see also the Dynacord VVS site. Pay attention to the serial number: This is unit number 001! |
