Klangfilm Siemens KLV502 V502 KL V502 KL-V502 EL34 Push Pull Amplifer tube amp Röhrenverstärker tube classics

The picture shows a pair of Kl V 502 amps in the Eurodyn rack with their control unit, the Kl VZ 502a. The unit at the bottom is a Kl Q 509 rectifier for the tone lamp.

Regarding the input sensitivity and the tone controls, the 502 amp is an integrated amp. When used as power amp, the first ECC40 tube is unnecessary and the input signal can be fed directly into the second ECC40's input grid. Please be aware that a coupling cap is needed when doing this.

If 12 watts are enough for your speakers (and it should be enough), convert the tetrode connection of the EL34s to triode operation. I use a 15 Ohms resistor to connect the screen grids to the plates.

The quality. Oh my god. Watch the pictures. 5 big MPs for the power supply. I have nothing more to say.

Great transformers. All parts are oversized The input transformer sounds very nice, too.  Oh yes - the sound. Maybe one of the best EL34 amp I've heard...

The Kl VZ502a allows to check the tubes and the input signal and to adjust the lines voltage to 200V AC which was the original supply voltage for the amps (they have also windings for 125V, 220, 230 and 250V).

There is a automatically rolled up cable with a "Messerleiste" connector that allows testing different V502 amps installed in one rack without soldering.

The original input transformer of the KLV-502 is one of the few transformers built by Siemens and not by Haufe for Siemens.
